In a world growing farther and farther from God, our youth need God's guidance more than ever. It is our responsibility as Christian parents to continue to have our youth believe and commit to a life in Jesus Christ. A youth ministry is essential to the future of a church.
Here are three factors that make a youth ministry significant for the future of the church…
Youth ministry is discipleship not just gathering a crowd >> The goal is to help teens follow Christ with all of their life. We are not just trying to reach teens, we are also trying to shape them to look more like Jesus. This is not hype. We see this happen by leading teens to engage in worship, study God’s Word through relevant teaching, and process faith through small group led by adult mentors. Our hope is to lead teens to be followers of Jesus with all their life.
Youth ministry can reach teens in our community for the Church not just our church >> Many teens don’t go to their church because it’s unhealthy and they know it is not working. Youth ministry gives us a chance to reach teens in our community and lead them to Christ. Youth ministry is not just about a single church it is about advancing the mission of the universal Church God is advancing. We are here to serve our city not just our church.
Youth ministry can connect teens to the mission of the church >> Teens need a bridge to encounter the larger mission of the church and we can be that bridge. Teens can serve now with other adults in the church. Teens can go on mission trips now with the church. Teens can worship and grow together with the church. Connect a teen to the church today and they will connect with the church in college!
From: www.churchleaders.com "The Importance of Youth Ministry"
Our Wednesday night services for the youth begin at 7:00 p.m. and are held in our youth classroom.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” (Matthew 19:14 NIV). Children’s Ministry could be the first place a child has an encounter with Jesus Christ.
God intends that we should win people in the days of their youth while their hearts are young and sensitive. But we are apt to let the springtime pass and then with great effort create a religious fervor by our own efforts and win men to Christ. We work hard, spend thousands of dollars and at the best get disappointingly small returns. We have waited too long. That which we should do is to work with God in His seasons.

We are shaping the future of the church in the children’s ministries today.
Imagine what the next generation would look like if a church did not invest in its youngest members?
Our Wednesday night children services begin at 7:00 p.m. and are held in the church fellowship hall.
Women's Missionary Union
What church would be complete without women. Women should an integral part of every church's ministry. In His Word, God used women in His Ministry.
Loco Baptist Church's WMU helps women to grow in their knowledge of the Scripture, their love for Jesus and for one another. Our women come together to serve and address certain needs of the church as well as the community.
It’s not just a Bible study or a fellowship group, but a gathering that helps to challenge and strengthen women in the areas of prayer, worship, praise, leadership, communication, family, and intimacy with God.
Our WMU meets on various nights of the month due to work schedules. Please contact
Mary Goldman (706) 359-3431 for meeting dates or check our events calendar.
Men's Brotherhood
The mission of a Men's Ministry is to lead men to Christ, and disciple them toward maturity in Christ, so that they develop spiritually and become leaders in their sphere of influence.
Our Men's Brotherhood meets every 4th Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. (unless otherwise posted) in the church fellowship hall. Breakfast is served and is followed by a guest speaker. Needs of the church and the community are addressed.
Vacation Bible School happens in the summer months and is generally based on themes provided by Lifeway Christian Bookstores. Our VBS activities are a great learning experience and are Scripture-filled and Scripture-based.
