The people who keep things going at our little country church.
Marty Pinion came to our church in October of 2011 and filled a void that was missing from our church- a regular Pastor. He preached every Sunday Service until February of 2012 when he was voted on by church members to become our Pastor. Since coming to our church, he has served God's calling and has truly blessed our church with God's Word.
He and his wife, Becky, live in Warrenton, GA. They were members of Camak Baptist Church in Camak, GA. Along with tending to various needs of the congregation of Loco Baptist Church, they continue to spend time with their daughter, Alli and her husband Matt, and their twin grandsons, Cohen and Casen.
Marty works for Shaw Industries in Thomson, GA.
The responsibilities of a deacon are not clearly listed or outlined; they are assumed to be everything that does not include the duties of a pastor, which is to preach, teach, and exhort. But qualifications for a deacon’s character are clearly outlined in Scripture. They are to be blameless, the husband of one wife, a good household manager, respectable, honest, not addicted to alcohol and not greedy. According to the Word, the office of deacon is an honor and a blessing. “For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus”.
Our music is led by a very talented Diana Paradise.
Loco Baptist Church has always been blessed with those individuals who have answered God's calling to be teachers in our various Sunday School classes and Wednesday night classes.
From Finance to Technology, Loco Baptist Church has many members that contribute their talents and help in the continual operation of our church.
